Olga Shevchenko: Awarded 2010 Davis Center Book Prize in Political and Social Studies

Posted Nov. 16, 2010: Olga Shevchenko, Associate Professor of Sociology, was awarded the 2010 Davis Center Book Prize in Political and Social Studies for her ethnographic study, “Crisis and the Everyday in Postsocialist Moscow” (2009, Indiana University). The prize, sponsored by the Kathryn W. and Shelby Cullom Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University, is awarded annually by the American Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies for an outstanding monograph on the region published in anthropology, political science, sociology, or geography in the previous calendar year.
