Neil Kubler: "Basic Spoken Chinese" out in final form

Posted May 6, 2011: After 19 years of preparation, field-testing, and revision, Professor Neil Kubler’s Basic Spoken Chinese was put out in final form by Tuttle Publishing in spring 2011. This complete course in elementary spoken Chinese, which includes a DVD with learning software and an hour of videos as well as a CD containing six hours of audio, was designed to facilitate the acquisition of practical skills in understanding and speaking modern Mandarin by native speakers of English. An accompanying student workbook, Basic Spoken Chinese Practice Essentials, by Kubler and former Williams Chinese Language Fellow Yang Wang, was also published by Tuttle this spring.
